The garden

Between rivulets and waterfalls, the ideal place for conviviality and relaxation

Cascades and rivulets of water, olive groves and vineyards, flowers with ancient fragrances and fruit trees of native varieties such as small, red, tasty “rotella” apples, typical of the Lunigiana area.

Then a delightful Italian garden with a bon ton taste that, at the beginning of the 20th century, was planted and maintained by Panfilo Ingolotti Amati, a lawyer and nobleman with a passion for botany. Here rare species, palms and a sophisticated geometry are mixed together to create elegant areas dedicated to conviviality and rest. The park of Casale Amati, and area consisting of over 7000 square meters, offers our guests the chance to enjoy the relaxation offered by the outdoor life and the well-being generated by being in close contact with nature.

Each building has outdoor areas equipped with tables, chairs and deckchairs conceived to organize lunches, have outdoor snacks and to leave children free to play and explore. The flowing water running in the background pleasantly accompanies you during your stay and suggestive corners, such as the pool with goldfish, will amaze you with their poetic stillness. Furthermore, in a secluded area of the park, there are three bee hives for the homemade production of honey. A strictly local goodness.

Simply Perfect
A perfect place to stay in with your family and/or friends. From the outside the old olive-oil mill may not look like much but inside you realize that you have stepped into a castle. It is a grand old place with parts of the mill still showing it one of the two great kitchens. There are plenty of rooms to choose from, the upper rooms with AC and down below cool enough for a hot summer. The garden is very pretty, with gold-fish in the dam, plenty of room to relax. The house is situated in the foothills of the mountains, but not far from the sea. There is plenty to do in the area and I cannot enough stress that you need to see this place and realize you will want to come back. The hostess is very pleasant and helpful, a very nice encounter.
